Clearly, you know little about ancient Athens and what you think you know is mostly wrong.

If by “the prosperous, thriving West,” you mean the failing “social democracies” of Europe, you are wrong again. They are dying, crushed by unmanaged immigration and fiscally impossible promises.

“America was born in nihilism…” is such a blatant misreading of history that it renders everything else you say in this rant suspect.

The primary virtues of “the West” are secularism and science. If not for these, it would still be 1400 in the West, as it still is in most of the non-western world where war lords, medieval superstition, and misery abound.

The fact that something is impure or flawed does not make it evil, it just makes it human. America is deeply flawed, but, contrary to your vituperative screed, it is also alive and vital.

No one is clamoring to immigrate to Nigeria or Syria or Myanmar. They want to go where there is still hope, however long the odds against them are.

“Safety” is an illusion. Show me one “safe” country, now or ever. What you mean by “safety” is being babysat by the state. That isn’t “safety,” it is slavery.
