Either the world
has managed to get along
without you
or it ended and no one
told you.
Either one,
mostly the same.
You remain blissfully
ignorant and live on.
The world turns either way.
Nothing outside your heart matters
Except, perhaps, treetops rippling
like green water in the wind.
