Health care was cheap and manageable before the insurance companies took it over. Prohibit all forms of health insurance by law. Providers, hospitals and Big Pharma will watch prices collapse back to natural levels. If you provide $3000 CAT scans, and no one can afford them, you will figure out how to price them reasonably or you will go out of business. I’m betting you will figure it out. If you don’t, someone else will. Patients, not insurance companies, will once again control their own health care.
