I loathe Disney.

But I think a lot of what you say here is simply because women are much more biologically important than men. Men can be frivolous because they are mostly unnecessary, think of sperm versus eggs. Women are absolutely necessary, think of child bearing. That means, as a valuable resource, they must be controlled, and societies over millennia have come up with many ways to do just that.

Biology may not be destiny, totally, but it makes up about 99% of it. And that is a very, very, very difficult reality to alter. What is now called “sexist” behavior originates in the fact that women evolved smaller and weaker than men. It is encoded in our genes. Men are always at least an implied threat to women, because in the last run, men can dominate women physically.

I don’t know how to change something so fundamental. Nor have I read any credible ideas on the subject. Some behaviors can be changed, but changing genetic algorithms may be impossible.
