I think one thing you are missing is that white supremicism is no longer a southern issue. Take down all the statues you like, if self-flagellation makes you feel better. There are more hate groups outside the south than in it according to the SPLC. And they tend to be the armed and dangerous militias. I don’t see anyone confronting them.
