I think you are right. The very word normal is a problem. We hear a lot about the autism spectrum, but really mental health is a spectrum and we are all on it. I guess somewhere in the world, there is one perfectly normal person and one insanely insane person. All of the rest of us shake out somewhere in between. That’s one hell of a long spectrum. Unless you suffer from a truly severe, crippling mental illness, at some point you have to figure how to live with who you are and do it.
