I was in Vietnam at the bitter end in 1972, working for MACVSOG and the CIA. I know a lost cause when I see one. Afghanistan is a lost cause. We lack the will to fight this war. Time to get out completely. Staying will just squander more blood and treasure. Well thought out article.
