I’ll be quitting mine too soon. The membership provides nothing that I need or want. It’s “features” are not impressive or useful.

I am tired of not being able to find writers I care about while being swamped by its SJW social bias, elitist identity political rants, techno-masturbation, listicles, and pathetic self-help articles, as well as so much whining, victim oriented psychobabble. One more puppy love paean to Steve Jobs and I will puke, Why pay to get the opposite of what you want rubbed in your face?

The new payment scheme could never equal what I get in PayPal donations. Clapping has gotten rid of realistic feedback. Its new submission guidelines give clear notice that selective censorship will be increasing.

Mainly. I want my work to be seen by as many as care to read it, not limited to “members.”

Obviously, like all Internet companies, Medium was only created to be sold. No doubt its current actions are being taken to improve that possibility and recoup its losses. Well, I do hope Ev Williams and his billionaire buddies make their billions back. Wouldn’t want them to miss any yacht payments.
