Ah, Algorithms. Where would we be without them? Look how effectively Medium uses them to give us what we want.

Here’s a great example. On the right of my news feed, what follows has appeared for three days. And it is repeated three times in a row on the page. Repeated exactly. Three times.

This is repeated three times in line. Oh, I said that.

I don’t follow feminism. I don’t want to read articles about feminism. I avoid writing about feminism.

And yet, This is what I get. Perhaps this is part of some political re-education process I haven’t been told about. Perhaps it is random. Perhaps it is part of some SJW conspiracy. I don’t know.

But it would be nice to see something that actually reflects my interests instead of this.

Before you begin attacking me for writing this, please keep in mind that I would be writing it if the subject was lacrosse rather than feminism.

My point is that something isn’t working. I paid my five bucks. I expect better.
