Many on Medium (especially those who never write anything other than replies to posts and comments), have raised being offended to an art form. If you do offend them (and escape death at the stake) you will get a lot of attention, very little of it supportive. There is a core of topics, for convenience, let’s lump them generally under the term PC, which seem to be the domain of an organized contingent of hitpersons who continuously scan Medium for any hints of heresy. If they detect one, they pile on. Expect to be piled on. Good luck.
