Perhaps you should reread (or read) the Illiad. Helen is really a minor character. She may or may not have been kidnapped, so her “choice” is debatable. Also, you cannot read a book written as long ago as the Illiad and impose your contemporary values on it. It is a testament of its time, when honor was not a dirty word, as it is now.

I should point out that this is only a very slight satire. No political statement (gender or otherwise) was intended. Humor is hit or miss. In your case, I missed.
