The biggest difference between Vietnam and our recent conflicts was that it affected everybody. I was 14 when the first kid from my neighborhood was killed. Later, kids I had played sports with came home with broken bodies and thousand yard stares. Everyone knew someone who had lost someone. It was the topic of argument. People were involved. There was skin in the game. Now, going to war is like ordering delivery pizza. Someone else does all the work, That makes it dangerously easier. Thanks,
