The notion that you can “control the creative process” first assumes that there is one. Wrong. Creation, call it the Muse or Big Magic, is always more than the creator, never just a “To Do List” of steps that can be checked off to make something out of nothing. Creativity defies process, is antithetical to it. Not everything is merely mundane.
