Things have indeed changed for the worse, but no one gets to pick when they were born.
Things were cheaper and there was easier access to education and jobs.
But your comment about government is nonsense. Boomers were the first generation to know their government lied to them, and to confront it about those lies. Nixon and Watergate should make that clear.
It is a myth that all boomers are now living in self-indugent luxury. The numbers say the opposite. The majority of them are in serious financial straits.
As for creature comforts, boomers grew up not only without all the digital toys young people are currently addicted to, but also in one car families, small houses with one bathroom, one home phone, and no air conditioning. They also got to enjoy Vietnam, social turmoil, race riots and the Draft. Any of those would melt a snowflake’s heart. And almost no one got to flee back home to escape the real world.
Generational bashing is pointless, but at least get the facts straight.
