This is a lovely tribute.
I was 16 when MLK died. I watched Harriburg burn from a hill across the river. Not the memorial I think he would have wanted.
1968 was hard year. Not only MLK, but RFK. Riots, burning cities, protests, Vietnam… It was like the year itself was on fire.
I enjoy the way this story soothes. America needs soothing just now.
Hard times come no more…
