This poem, has become the most popular thing I have ever written and posted on Medium. Using Medium’s own (?) statistics, it has been read 5.5 thousand times and received 850 recommends. I find this amazing. I’m sure it didn’t take me an hour to write. It’s not a personal favorite of mine. To me, it’s flaw is that it is clever. Apparently clever works on Medium. Who knew? I didn’t.

Which is to the point of this long-winded response. If you are a writer, you can use all the metrics in the world and still not know what will connect with your audience. Even today’s algorithmic filtered audience has a mind of its own (sometimes). So if you have a piece, and Nocturnal Remission was an old piece reworked, that you think has any merit, even if you have doubts, as I did, then go ahead and fling it against the wall. You can’t know. It just might stick. :)
