Using the word Resistance in this case is a severe diminution of that once honorable (or at least meaningful) term. Temper tantrums are not resistance. I remember seeing a captured, wounded, NVA soldier who looked like a (young) teenager being severely beaten during an interrogation by his south Vietnamese captors. He never said a word. That’s resistance. Not whining over a latte before you Uber over to the start-up. Either words mean something or they don’t. Sadly, Resistance no longer does.
