Your problem is that you ignore time and context. Also, you dive into the intentional fallacy. Anyone who has done the reading (have you?) knows that Hemingway was a tortured soul, a true asshole, but a great writer, especially in the short stories. His politics, misogyny, whatever, simply can’t cancel that fact. Read the books. Forget the author.
